Active HDMI

As cable lengths increase, the signal they carry decreases in strength. To boost that signal, Austere uses an active chipset. This chipset allows us to maintain a thin, high flex cable for sleek and easy installation. Keep in mind that the chipset is one-directional. That means the signal only goes one way, from the source to the display. The connectors are clearly labeled “SOURCE” and “TV”.
